Chicago Youth Programs (CYP) endeavors to serve the comprehensive needs of each youth with an asset-based approach that intends to mitigate risks while building strengths. How do we do it? By making a long-term investment for a long-term impact. This investment begins as early as birth and lasts until age 25, when we expect our young adults to have successfully completed their post-secondary plans and be well on their way to establishing a life-sustaining career.

Hello! If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of our youth around the chicagoland area, we'd love for you to register to join our board. We have an amazing group of professionals who are doing great things and we're always looking for other great leaders.
CYP JUNIOR BOARD REGISTRATION
Joining the Chicago Youth Programs Junior Board allows young professionals to contribute their skills and energy to support the mission to improve the health and life opportunities of at-risk youth using a comprehensive approach aimed at developing their capabilities.. As a member, you'll have the chance to network with like-minded peers, develop leadership skills, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and teens in Chicago.
CYP ALUMNI REGISTRATION
The Chicago Youth Programs Alumni Committee is dedicated to supporting and connecting former participants of Chicago Youth Programs, fostering a network of engaged and empowered alumni who contribute to the organization's mission of enhancing the lives of underserved youth. Through mentorship, community service, and professional development opportunities, the committee strives to create lasting impact and promote lifelong success for its members.
CYP BELIEVES
Chicago Youth Programs believes in the pursuit of equity and access on behalf of each of our youth. We are reminded everyday how vital it is for young people of color to be allowed to participate and have learned that this participation must come in the form of equitable access to: Quality education, comprehensive healthcare, skill development, and career opportunity. To that end, our program model reflects what 3 ½ decades has taught us: Poverty impacts the whole child, so we purpose to serve the whole child.

My love for the Chicago Youth Programs goes far beyond my role on the board. The opportunities and access provided by the Chicago Youth Programs have been instrumental in my own personal success. Today, my greatest joy is witnessing the success of the next generation and supporting the kids in the communities where I grew up. As President, I am fully committed to making a city-wide impact by providing equal access and real opportunities to more youth across various neighborhoods.

About Us
Founded in 1984 by Northwestern University medical students, what started as the Cabrini Green Youth Program has grown into an organization serving youth and families in at least 30 of the city’s 50 wards.
